SCANPO News – Raffle Vote

–>  News from the South Carolina Association of Non Profit Associations (SCANPO) <—

With the November 4 election quickly approaching, it’s important that you be made aware of two key areas on the ballot:

1. CHARITABLE RAFFLES

Be sure to VOTE YES on the first Constitutional Amendment on the ballot. Simply put, this will make charitable raffles legal in South Carolina. Download a PDF overview that you can share with others and read what the Post and Courier and Greenville News recently shared on the importance of this vote.

2. SECRETARY OF STATE

The Secretary of State handles regulatory requirements impacting South Carolina’s nonprofits, including charitable solicitations and charitable raffles, if made legal. We encourage you to share information and video messages from both candidates. Nonprofit leaders need to be prepared to make an informed decision on this elected position.

Ginny Deerin, Democratic Party Candidate
Mark Hammond, Republican Party Candidate
